2. the patterned dress sock

**The Sloppiness of this post is shameful, I don't know where the file for this photo went, but just believe that I was looking douchy at the airport.

I feel it is time that I begin to preach what I practice, which thus brings about this post on my love for obscenely loud socks.

Covering my mankles usually isn't my main priority, especially seeing as sockettes are probably one of the most ingenious creations ever (like, ever!). Though as I'm currently in transit to Europe it's going to be necessary to wrap up these babies, and what better way to do so than with my fab Urban Outfitters aztec print socks.

I've partnered the blue ones shown at the back with my black (super) skinny jeans and classic red vans. Here, why not have a photo just for because.

Shoes: Vans Socks: Urban Outfitters Jeans: Jay Jays Tee: $4 Vintage find, Savers  Denim Jacket: Cheap Monday

The coming 9 weeks are going to be spent in Europe, traveling through Ireland, Scotland, England, France, Switzerland and Italy. No doubt at least 3 bajillion photos shall be uploaded here, so check back for some cheeky holiday snaps.

Choosing to travel in skinny jeans probably wasn’t my greatest decision ever. Pairing my über manly calves with wearing woman’s jeans is compressing my leg hairs like a beesh~ (Not comfy!!)

I started this post in Singapore airport, crouching down beside a power socket, edited it in the air somewhere over Europe, attempted to post in London Heathrow (which had NO free WiFi!) and am finally posting this in Ireland.

Not sure when I’ll next have time to blog, so keep updated on my twitter and instagram feeds - both @calumhurley

1. the studded denim vest

Let's fill this gaping hole of nothingness with something, shall we?

In the time since my first post I have come to the end of my first year of study and am looking forward to my Summer. That Summer freedom however comes in the form of a freezing cold winter in Europe - which I can't wait for! I wanted to get this blog up and running before my travels begin so I can have somewhere to post everything and keep my mind orderly when away.

I'm yet to decide on where this blog shall go, but for now, you can have a sneak peak at how I've spent my past few days:

I purchased this once-intact jacket at Cotton On, on a crazy nothing-over-$30 day, to say I went a little OTT would be an understatement. I am already the proud owner of an amazing Cheap Monday bleach denim jacket, so I thought I'd change things up a bit (and finally use some of the 300 studs I ordered on eBay!).

A few sore fingers and a solid 6 hours later, my boringly regular denim jacket was transformed into a hipster's dream studded denim vest. I have no clue where I shall ever wear this, but you may just see me sporting it in future posts - watch this space.

'Cause you always want what you're running from, and it's always been that way.
