Freedom! I have finally finished my second year of university, which means that I'm already half way through my degree - both relieving and terrifying. This summer I plan to get active on this blog (I know I've said that 3 million times before). Hopefully this time I'll stick to my word! I've got a few posts planned out, just a few more photos to edit. Lots of Europe, a few outfits, and hopefully a lot of design coming this summer.
For now here's a little something I worked on today, a new header for my tumblr. Not sure if I'll be using it here but let's just give it a trial run.

12. switzerland [europe part 4]

Seeing as this happened, like, last week/11 months ago I thought I'd finally get around to posting some photos from Lucerne, Switzerland, where I visited over the summer.
-As in, Australian summer. December 2012. Last Year. Whoops.

Switzerland is such an amazing place. Our hotel was a literal hike up a snow covered Mount Rigi - which had such deep snow coverage that the vehicle to take us up couldn't travel in such conditions... so we walked! We sailed on Lake Lucerne, ate traditional cheese fondue, got caught in a mini snow storm on the way to our hotel and waited it out by listening to spice girls - so many silly memories that make me want to return as soon as I can, such a beautiful country!

11. home

Recently, I traveled back home to the village I grew up in, Fairlie, in Ayrshire, Scotland to visit my grandparents. It was such a beautiful time because not only did my mum and I get to be with them, but also with my aunt, uncle, and cousins who came over from Norway, as well as cousins from England. I'm just really grateful to have been able to spend this time as a family. I did a little travel when I was over as well, visiting family in Ireland, so look for future posts of Dublin, as well as Glasgow and Edinburgh.

10. adelaide [part 1 of many]

In the past few months I have developed a fondness towards the city of Melbourne; the culture, the people, the lane-ways, the skyscrapers, the everything! However, those of us from Adelaide get to my age where we start to establish ourselves and we begin to reconsider our surroundings, with far too many of us hopping over to Melbourne to set up shop there. I believe that it is a real shame that so many of us - including myself - at some stage, have uttered the words, "But, there's just nothing to do in Adelaide". Wrong. So, very wrong. There is plenty to do and see, we just need to get out, explore, and find it!

I don't know where my life will take me, whether I stay here in Adelaide, end up in Melbourne, or one of the other million locations this planet has to offer, we shall just have to wait and see. But for right now, I'm going to cherish what I have here, and what Adelaide has to offer me.

Back in June I visited Melbourne; in two days I am flying back. I previously mentioned that I'd have the photos up before my second visit, so by the skin of my teeth, here they are. Oh, I cannot wait!
